2. The browser extension
AI Befreier runs entirely in your browser. It reads the AI chat on the page you have open and writes a Markdown ZIP locally. No chat content is transmitted to us or any third party. The extension stores its settings and an anonymous device identifier in chrome.storage.local on your device. There is no analytics SDK, no usage beacon and no tracking pixel.
3. License backend (this website)
When you purchase a paid plan and activate it, our license backend stores the minimum required to validate your license:
- the Paddle transaction ID (your license code),
- an anonymous SHA-256 device hash (no IP, no name, randomly seeded on install),
- plan, activation count and status.
Legal basis: performance of a contract (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). We cannot identify a natural person from this data.
4. Payment processing (Paddle)
Payments are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as Merchant of Record. Paddle is an independent controller for the billing data you enter at checkout (name, email, billing address, tax information and payment details). We never receive or store your full card data. See Paddle's Privacy Policy. After a purchase, Paddle sends us a webhook containing the transaction ID and the email you used, so we can issue your license and email you the license code.
5. Email & support
If you contact anfrage@flowent.de or support@flowent.de, we process your email address and message solely to answer your request (Art. 6 (1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Transactional license emails are sent via Resend (Resend, Inc.) as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
6. Hosting & server logs
This website and the license API are hosted by Vercel Inc. (San Francisco, USA), with functions running in the EU (Frankfurt region). Vercel processes technical access data (e.g. IP address, timestamp, requested URL) to deliver the service and for security, as a processor on our behalf. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR. Database hosting is provided by our infrastructure provider in the EU.
7. No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies and uses no tracking tools. Fonts are loaded from the system or a privacy-friendly source.
8. Retention
License records are kept for as long as the license is valid plus the statutory retention periods for business records. Support emails are kept until your request is resolved and within commercial retention obligations. Local extension data is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear chrome.storage.local.
9. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object (Art. 21). To exercise these, email anfrage@flowent.de.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The competent authority for us is the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg, Stuttgart.
10. Changes
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the product or the law. The current version is always available on this page.
